To encourage more photographers in the UK, Sony has now come up with their own The UK National Award which is open to all the UK photographers as they send in their pictures to win the prestigious award. The Sony World Photographers Award has joined hands with Sony UK to come up with this idea that will bring forward the best photographers from the UK. The award is open to all photographers from the UK and there are no charges for the event.
Interested photographers can enter through the website www.worldphoto.org and select from ten categories that are available. This special award offers amazing opportunity for new and budding photographers and provide them a global platform to showcase their talent and work. Along with the winner who will receive the latest photographic equipment there will be two runners-up prizes. All three photographers will get an opportunity to showcase their work with professional photographers from around the world at the 2015 Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition that will be held in London next year. The judges for The UK National Award will include Nigel Atherton, Editor in Chief at Amateur Photographer. The winner will be chosen from entries to the Open competition of the 2015 Sony World Photography Awards taken by UK nationals.
